About the Exhibition
Enter the street photography world of Elephnt - a Singaporean photographer who captures photographs of urban areas and everyday objects taken for granted. Treat your senses to a series of sounds and smells with installation and projections. This relatable and intriguing exhibition invites the audience to reflect on the relationship between void decks and the lifestyle of residents and discuss the risk of losing local housing specialty in Singapore's constant cycle of urban redevelopment.
The exhibition consists of Circle of Life, Dreaming in progress, and Shelter. Living in HDBs, residents can be passers-by of voids decks, and this exhibition brings out a different way of seeing such common spaces and suggests the value of appreciating little things around us.

Elephnt is a photographer interested in urban spaces and mundane and taken for granted everyday objects. His photo projects are often the result of his encounters with the constant cycle of urban redevelopment in Singapore. His first photobook, Ways of Seeing, was published by Math Paper Press in 2017.
